Duties and Responsibilities
Program Implementation, Management and Evaluation
Formulate, plan, coordinate and implement WASH projects and programs.Monitor and evaluate the progress of WASH project implementation to ensure that activities are timely and meet project objectives and World Vision Technical Standards.Participate in the design and development of appropriate technologies in WASH project proposals and projects.Assist in the review and evaluation of WASH project activitiesMonitor and ensure the security, appropriate and beneficial use of World Vision WASH resources and assets in the field.Ensure timorous procurement and delivery of materials to project areas / sites.Ensure that expenditure is as per budget provisions and line items.Facilitate contract arrangements and monitor the services of contractors engaged in WASH activities.Representation and Networking.
Liaison with Government, local authorities, local communities and other agencies or implementing partners on WASH programme activities.Represent World Vision at DWSSC and other meetings, in task forces and other project related forum and activities.Develop and maintain links /relationship with other NGOs, local governmental departments, agencies, churches and other players responding to emergency / disasters in water sanitation and health or involved in project implementation.Ensure that the WASH activities are gender and socially inclusive and integrated with Child Protection, Health, Education and Livelihoods technical programsDocumentation
Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports that meet reporting requirements.Present regular progress reports at appropriate meetings.Submit weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to WASH Technical Program ManagerHuman Resource/Team Management
Encourage teamwork, support and supervise PHHE Facilitators, Drivers, and other relevant personnel.Provide effective leadership and technical support to team members. Participate in staff recruitment, capacity building and performance review. Document and share lessons learnt in WASH projects and programmes.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
A degree in Environmental Health, Social Sciences or Water Engineering or other in relevant field. Master’s degree added advantageFive (5) or more years’ experience in donor funded project implementation and management or in senior leadership within a NGO working on WASH Projects.Experience in Girl child and or women empowerment in WASH or other sectors projects Experience in Community Based Management of WASH projectsExcellent English communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.In depth knowledge of water borne diseases and water quality management.In-depth knowledge of rural and urban water supplies, sanitation, hygiene, Covid-19, HIV /AIDS prevention and other public health systems.Ability to travel extensively, maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.Knowledge of MS Office, spreadsheets and Outlook.Working knowledge of the local language.Clean Class 4 Driver’s license.
